In 2008 a group of local citizens circulated a petition requesting that the community support bringing The Fitness Center to Tuscola. Several building sites were studied and bids were obtained to establish the feasibility of coming to Tuscola.
A contract was agreed to with the City of Tuscola involving redevelopment of the old downtown Massie Building. Engineering studies were performed and a reconstruction plan established to bring the old Massie Building “back to life”.
It was a pleasure working with the TIF Committee, the City Council, the City Manager and the Economic Development Director. The citizens of Tuscola should be proud of their progressive and diligent leadership staff… the staff is both thorough and thoughtful in their decisions.
