PERSONAL FITNESS EVALUATION
The Fitness Center is invested in your health. We have the tools to help you use the club to improve yourself.
Using a state-of-the-art computer system, we will perform a fitness assessment (also known as a “BodyAge Analysis”) to assess your current condition. You will receive a detailed printed report including an exercise prescription unique to your body.
Every 90 days, with a simple re-examination, you can determine your progress and adjust your exercise program accordingly.
Your personalized plan of action will be easy to understand. You will finally have realistic goals and expectations combined with your own Nutrition Coaching Program.
Just call the Champaign office to request a callback to schedule your assessment.
1) A staff member will call you to set up your free Body Age Assessment appointment.
2) An assessment usually requires about 30-45 minutes. Please wear loose-fitting shorts and a short-sleeved shirt.
3) Please do not work out prior to your assessment and limit your caffeine intake several hours before your appointment. Both of these things can effect the accuracy of your results.
4) The results of your assessment will be put into your personal (secure) record in our Member Database. Access your personal record from the comfort of your home, through internet access; you will be able to view your progress through a graphic presentation.
** There is a $20.00 “No Show”/”No Call” Fee. Please call membership services no less than three hours prior to the scheduled appointment to cancel to avoid being charged. Contact membership services at 217 356-1616.
These valuable $75 assessments are provided to you (FREE) as part of your Fitness Center membership.
Your fitness assessment will include measurements of body composition, body weight, resting heart rate, cardiorespiratory endurance, muscle strength and flexibility.
Body composition: The health screen administrators will determine your body composition by a method known as bio-impedance. This test will indicate fat tissue percentage, lean tissue percentage, basal metabolic rate and total body water that the client may have.
Body Weight: Your weight will also be measured and recorded into the computer system.
Heart Rate: You will have your resting heart rate checked. A three minute step test will also be administered to assess how well you adapt to cardiovascular exercise. This test allows us to evaluate the effects an exercise program has on your resting heart rate.
Muscular strength and flexibility: A device called a dynamometer will be used to test your grip strength. Your lower body flexibility will also be measured by a sit-and-reach test.
A health screen usually requires about 30 minutes, depending on the amount of questions that you ask. To make the test as comfortable as possible for you, wear loose-fitting shorts and a short-sleeved shirt.
Please do not work out prior to your health screening and limit your caffeine intake several hours before your appointment. These can both have effects on the accuracy of your results.
